John Picerne is a seasoned real estate executive and visionary entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience building innovative solutions in housing, infrastructure, and community development. He is the Founder and Chairman of Corvias, a family of companies that partners with public and private sector clients — including the U.S. military, higher education institutions, and municipalities — to deliver sustainable real estate, infrastructure, and facilities solutions through long-term public-private partnerships.
John launched what would become Corvias in 1998 with the goal of improving housing and quality of life for service members and their families. Under his leadership, the organization expanded its mission to include student housing solutions through Corvias Campus Living and large-scale infrastructure services via Corvias Solutions, addressing complex maintenance and facilities challenges with creative, performance-driven strategies.
A champion of community investment and philanthropy, John established the Corvias Foundation in 2006 to support military families through scholarships, grants, and career advancement programs. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $15 million to assist military spouses and children pursuing higher education and meaningful careers.
John’s leadership and impact have been recognized with prestigious honors, including the Commander’s Award for Public Service from the Department of the Army and the Excellence in Individual Leadership Award from the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships.
He lives in Rhode Island with his family and remains actively engaged in civic and charitable initiatives that strengthen communities and expand opportunities for others.
